FM for Commune Design

Created exclusively for the California design studio, Commune, this wind chime is part of Chris' ongoing investigation into sounding home goods - a collection of furniture made to intone atmospheric music and breezy melodies that promote social well-being through sound.
 
This four-tone wind chime is made from locally sourced redwood and copper-plated tubing. It rings in a warm open harmony based on the tones found in Joni Mitchell’s “California.” This sculptural work creates an ongoing soundtrack whenever the wind blows. Made in Sonoma County, California.
